Toronto-born violinist Emily Kruspe is the winner of the Glenn Gould School’s Concerto Competition and the University of Toronto Concerto Competition. She’s also a recipient of the Orford String Quartet Scholarship, and was named a CBC Young Artist (2015).
Emily has performed with the ARC Ensemble, and collaborated with acclaimed violinists Augustin Hadelich, Pekka Kuusisto and James Ehnes. She also frequently plays section violin with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra, and the National Ballet Orchestra of Canada. She is also a 2017-18 Rebanks fellow at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto.
Emily completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto under Erika Raum, and received an Artist Diploma at the Glenn Gould School under Paul Kantor. As of May 2018, Emily is the second violinist of the Rolston String Quartet.
