Over the last 30 years, Juno winning trumpeter Kevin Turcotte has performed on hundreds of recordings for artists like Rob McConnell’s Boss Brass, Measha Bruegergossman, Andrew Downing, Michael Occhipinti and William Carn. He grew up in Sudbury but went on to tour across Asia, Europe, the former Soviet Union, South America and Mexico with bands led by David Braid, Barry Elmes, Elizabeth Shepherd and Dave Young. Recently he was praised for his performance of all of the trumpet parts in the Chet Baker film Born To Be Blue. Whether its a jazz gig with Mike Murley or a chamber concert with the Art of Time Ensemble, this Toronto based musician loves to play. Kevin teaches at York and Humber College.
