Samuel Chan

Baritone

Named one of CBC Music’s 30 Hot Classical Musicians under 30, baritone Samuel Chan has performed across North America with the Canadian Opera Company, Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, City Opera Vancouver, Songfire Festival Vancouver, the Elora Festival, Cincinnati Early Music Festival, and Cincinnati Chamber Opera with repertoire spanning from Early Baroque to world premieres. His operatic roles include Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Marcello (La Bohème), Dr. Flake (Die Fledermaus), Eugene Onegin (Eugene Onegin), Marullo (Rigoletto), Sychophantic Senator (Hadrian), Morales/Dancairo (Carmen), Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte), Pastore II/Apollo (L’Orfeo), Count Lamoral (Arabella), and Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro). He is a graduate of COC’s Ensemble Studio and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
