On Wednesday, November 20th at 7PM we will be having having a very special concert with discussion. Eight world-class musicians have come together to form “Octagon”, an All-Star chamber ensemble. Octagon features violinists Martin Beaver and Mark Fewer, violist Rivka Golani, cellist Rachel Mercer, bassist Joel Quarrington, horn player Ken MacDonald, bassoonist Kathleen McLean, and clarinetist James Campbell.

This is a unique opportunity to witness the birth of a brand new work. Composer Kevin Lau will work with the musicians on A Drop of Light, a brand new piece written specifically for the ensemble.
Octagon will also be playing Beethoven’s Septet as well as Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks by Richard Strauss.

The performance will take place at the Festival Station Office, and seats are extremely limited.

Tickets for this one-of-a-kind event are $50 and will be available at  the Festival Office beginning Monday, October 21 at 9:00 AM.
