Mime artist Trevor Copp writes, “Portraits at an Exhibition is the ultimate non-musician's guide to getting inside the music. We take a famous piano piece ('Portraits at an Exhibition' by Mussorgsky) and make each movement into a kind of science experiment.  We pass around perfume to smell flowers during a piece about gardens, we tell folk stories, we take off the panels of the piano to let the audience 'see' the music ...all to determine how you, the audience, can best 'hear' the sound”.
