We would like to extend congratulations to local artist Alan Stein for his painting “Images at Nightfall #8” recently being selected by the Archives of Ontario for the Government of Ontario OSA Art Collection!! Alan has been closely tied to the Festival since its inauguration, with his artwork being the cover art for many seasons’ brochures and programmes over the years. FUN FACT: This piece of art was a commission to go with Srul Irving Glick’s composition “Images at nightfall, Georgian Bay” performed at the Festival many times. Mezzo-soprano Julie Nesrallah was welcomed into our Festival Family last year with open arms. Who remembers her spectacular singing during last year’s “The Four Seasons” concert? We sure do and we’re so excited to welcome her back to perform at this year’s gala dinner! (Check your brochures and stay tuned for more information!). In the meantime, enjoy Julie’s beautiful rendition of “O Sole Mio”, live from her balcony in Toronto last week!
