Conducted by Lydia Adams, this 20-voice professional choral ensemble, was founded by the late Dr. Elmer Iseler in 1979. They have built an enviable reputation throughout Canada, the USA, and internationally through concerts, broadcasts, and recordings — performing repertoire that spans 500 years, with a focus on Canadian composers. Annually, EIS sponsors choral workshops through their GET MUSIC! Educational Initiative for secondary school conductors and choirs. The Elmer Iseler Singers are a 2014 National Choral Award recipient and a 2017 JUNO Nominee. Also, 2019 Juno Award Winners and 2019 Grammy Nominees, as participants in the TSO’s brilliant Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Chandos CD recording, with Peter Oundjian, conducting, and 2019 Juno Award Nominees for “Classical Album of the Year: Vocal or Choral” for David Braid’s Corona Divinae Misericordiae.
