Joey Forbes is a Toronto-based saxophonist originally from Parry Sound, Ontario. A dynamic performer on alto, bari, and tenor sax, he is a fascinated with the city’s jazz scene, having played at venues like The Rex Jazz Bar and The Emmet Ray. Rooted in jazz and swing, Joey’s versatility spans genres such as rock, pop, and R&B. Joey is pursuing his bachelor's degree in music at Humber College, where his music reimagines classics from the Great American Songbook, inspired by artists such as John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins. With a passion for both tradition and innovation, Joey continues to shape his sound, drawing inspiration from jazz legends while carving his path.
